I Endurance Race Jarama 2018

The answer is 27 was present —tiny sticker on the side of car #27— in the I Endurance Race Jarama this past 1st September 2018. A total of 16 vehicles took the start at the legendary Jarama circuit; the oldest of the permanent circuits in Spain. Among them, the #27 DRS – Repsol Racing Team driven by a team of four, among whom was my founding-partner of FANSI Motorsport.

The car, a beautiful BMW E36 318is from the ’90s in white with red and blue stripes of the classic Repsol logo, took the start from P11 having set a fast lap of 2:10.700. But endurance is not only about driving fast; so we managed to stay on the top positions for most of the first half of the race. Unfortunately, we couldn’t cross the finish line to see the chequered flag waving due to an engine failure.

P1 in our category, P2 overall; 3 hours into the race.

We all know that racing is very tough, but that doesn’t mean you have to lose heart. Now it’s time to get the car back on track for your next race. See you at the finish line!

The Circuito del Jarama is close to a luxury residential development.
